The Sunday Post #7 (Reading Decisions)

I'm sitting here just relaxing and getting a late start to my Sunday thanks to the fact that I have tomorrow off as well.  I sure do love three day weekends!  It was a quiet week but it felt busy and went by fast as usual.  And the weather has warmed up a bit which has been nice!  Makes me hope for spring even though we have a ways to go yet.

This was a really good reading week for me though as I managed to finish both of the books that I was currently reading from last week.  I've been waiting for two tour books to show up in the mailbox so I had held out on picking up another print book as I was going to get started on one of them.  Neither has shown up and then I finished my current ebook and found myself with no books on the go.  What?!?  I love when this happens although I usually find myself stuck then on what to read next.  All of the possibilities.  Should I read a book off of my own shelves?  Maybe one from the huge library stack that I just recently brought home?  Or a review book that needs to be read sooner rather than later?  Such important decisions to make!  Ha!  I've settled on my new print book but STILL can't decide what to read on my kindle.  I've decided to wait until later and then just see where my reading mood takes me.

On to the books and reading update now.  Last week I finished the following two books:

Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep - This is the second book of the series and is just as good as the first!  I'm loving these books and the new plan for 2015 is to catch up with this series in its' entirety!  I love Gin's character and can never just set these books down.  I always want to read just a little bit more which makes the book fly by.

Winter at the Door by Sarah Graves - This is the beginning of a new mystery series and one that I will be reading more of!  I loved how the author used the setting to really pull the reader in.  I couldn't set this one aside either and found myself trying to read while cooking dinner.  LOL!  I'm sure you can guess how that went.

I'm currently reading the following book:

I actually just grabbed this one off of the library shelves yesterday but I couldn't resist starting it late last night.  I say this all of the time but I've been wanting to read this one for awhile now so I'm super excited for it.  I've just barely begun so we will see how it goes.

I wish that I could say I've been good in the NetGalley/Edelweiss department but I really haven't been.  I NEED to stay off of those darn sites for awhile but it's so hard!  Here are the books that I have recently added to my e-reader:

Second Life!!!!!  I am so super pumped for this one as I just loved this author's first book!  I am beyond thrilled to read this one!!  These are all books that I cannot wait to read so I'm a very happy reader over here!

#FitReaders update:  I've been a bit lax when it comes to sharing updates on my #FitReaders progress (except for a tweet here and there).  I might use these posts to share or I might try to do separate posts each week for it but I haven't decided yet.  I was doing really good without missing a day on Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred video workout but this week I didn't do so hot.  I ended up taking Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off thanks to a sinus infection that just kicked my motivation to the curb.  I'm on workout two which is also kicking my butt.  I'm definitely going to get back on schedule today even if my motivation is still lacking a bit.  Do any of you have any other workout videos that you really enjoy or recommend?  I'm thinking that I will want a break from this one after I get through workout three.

I'm off to get laundry started and my house knocked back into shape.  I'm planning on writing up a few blog posts for the week and definitely will be spending part of the day commenting as I have been lax in that area.  Other plans include my workout and curling up with a good book.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and rest of the week.  Happy Reading!

  2. I am looking forward to Second Life too. Got the day off as well, which is good as I need another day to recuperate from the flu. Enjoy your day off. I recommend Jessica Smith, most of her work outs are free on YouTube.

  4. You got a lot of great books this week. I hope you are feeling better. The Jillian Michael workout sounds good but I can just imagine it gets hard (I've seen her on The Biggest Loser and she is tough lol). But I hope you feel better so you can get back on track. Have a nice time off and a great week!

  12. Wow! I'm loving all the those book covers! I hope they're all great reads for you! Oh, I love Jillian Michaels workouts. I first began with 30 Day Shred when it first came out...man, they're not easy for a beginner. I stuck with them, and now I have a collection of her videos. She's my favorite, but all her other workouts are harder than 30 Day Shred. If you're into yoga her Yoga Inferno workout is pretty good.

  13. The weather here has warmed up as well (although I dare say my cold weather is probably warmer than yours anyway). It's just Mouse and me tomorrow so we may go to the park. I'm sure we'll end up playing mermaid princesses at some point . . . LOL

I have a Jennifer Estep in my Kindle to read. I think it may be the first in a series. Love the cover of India Black!

I've been so bad about working out. With all of us being sick, and then Mouse getting sick again . . . I have excuse after excuse. I really want to start up again this week. That's the plan anyway.

  15. Our weather warmed up a bit as well, although we did have a cold and misty day today. It seems we never really got winter. Sometimes too much choice when deciding what to read next can be overhwelming, I know that feeling, although it's nice and freeing as well when you don't have a book you should read. I really should catch up on the Elemental Assassin series, it's such a fun series! I think I am up to book 6 or 7 and own the next two already and there are 3 more released already.

  16. Hope you're feeling better by now and that you had a great holiday yesterday! I like 30 Day Shred but I'm also a fan of the 10 Minute Solution videos (I have Pilates and Kickboxing). You can select the workouts you want and do as many or as few as you would like (each 10 minutes seems to focus on a specific body part). I NEEEEEEEEEED to start working out again. I just can't seem to get myself motivated. :(
