I'm guessing I'm not the only reader out there that it finds it all too easy to click buy when the price of the book is right. I thought it would be fun to share some of the books that I've picked up for my Kindle lately in the hopes that I will at least read a few of them sooner rather than later :) Because I probably wouldn't feel so bad about acquiring all of these books if I was actually reading them. LOL! Here are the books that I've bought recently for my e-reader (a few were probably free):
What good e-book deals have you found lately????
In other news, WTF happened to being able to manipulate multiple pictures with blogger??? Do you see what my book covers look like on this post??? I don't even know how I managed to get them like this but I can tell you lots of R-rated words left my mouth. And I hate it because I can't seem to align them the way I want to. Why, why, why can I not figure out an easy way to put pictures side by side? I HATE the new blogger because stuff like this should be easier and not harder. Tell me someone has figured this out and can share tips with me. I may end up stroking out otherwise :P
I totally get it, I wonder what you consider good deal? I used to think $5 or less but now I have it at $2.99 for a book I had interest in.
ReplyDeleteI promised myself to only download when I wanted to read but that didn't last, lol
Recent ones for me are: Brightest Kind of Darkness, Evil at Heart book 2 and Partials.
Netgalley is also amazing.
I download the free Nook book every Friday, even if I might not be interested, just in case. And I check net galley WAY too often. I resist buying them- my book budget is about zero- but free? I collect.
ReplyDeleteI check Netgalley constantly. It's a sickness. And then I just have to think really, really hard about whether I'll be able to read it by the time it will expire. I love having lots of books on my Nook! I love being able to switch books on the subway if the one I'm reading turns out to be rather lame.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an ereader yet, but if I did I'd surely be hoarding ebooks on it too. Ive done my fair share of cursing at blogger since their latest mandatory upgrade. I've even considered going elsewhere. I was perfectly fine with the old template! Now I'm confused even just looking at my posts list, they've pretty much changed everything.
ReplyDeleteSam, I don't have an e-reader such as a Kindle or Nook, but I can certainly understand being tempted to purchase A LOT of books for an e-reader. They'd be hard to resist, especially if priced right!
ReplyDeleteI've had and continue to have problems spacing pictures properly as well on my blog; when I try to arrange multiple images, I often find it difficult and time-consuming.
Yep, if it is free and sounds interesting, I get it!
ReplyDeleteLook at that great stash of books on your reader! LOve the cover to Witch Eyes.. very eerie and intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI've sort of gotten used to the updated blogger BUT like you, I find manipulating the images SO much more difficult, especially if you want to have pics side by side in the post. I end up uploading the pics to the picasa account linked to my blog account and then copying the url to blogger. Pretty annoying.
Happy reading!
I understand your pain! I'm an e-book hoarder too!! And I did get two of these from your list. I look every day for a free kindle book...every day!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge free ebook hoarder. I have a Sony reader, and don't like their store much, so I tend to scour Smashwords routinely. And I always end up with too many books. I got 2 this week!
ReplyDeleteMarce- Usually any book under 3 or 4 dollars is good with me. LOL! I love the ones for $.99 though. Those are the best!!
ReplyDeleteLisa- I don't have a huge book budget either but I find it much easier to justify when the book is only a dollar. LMAO! Sometimes I forget that those dollars add up..ha! I enjoy NetGalley as well but find that I feel guilty when I'm behind on review books from there.
Jenny- I love having lots of books on my reader as well. Especially different genres. And I love finding classic mystery authors to try for free. That's how I tried Mary Roberts Rinehart and I found her book to be fabulous. Win, win!
Naida- I hate that I can't line up my pictures like I used to. It just makes everything more complicated...I miss the old set-up! I thought about going to Wordpress myself but haven't been brave enough to make the switch.
Suko- I'm having the same issue. It is quite annoying and I hope I figure it out sooner rather than later!
Nise- I have a tendency to buy any romance that sounds remotely good if it is free. I just can't resist :)
Christine- Hmmm...I just may have to try that. I find it very obnoxious that it isn't as simple as it once was.
Staci- Thank goodness that I'm not the only one. I just love adding books to my Kindle. Especially if they are free!
Sarah- I really, really need to stop buying so many. I'm buying WAY more than I could possibly read right now. But it doesn't seem to stop me from wanting just one more. LOL!
