Library Loot - Latest Additions

Hosted by Marg and Claire, Library Loot encourages you to share what you found at the library and brought home for the week. Or in my case the past couple of weeks :)

1. Monique and the Mango Rains by Kris Holloway
2. Jamaica Inn by Daphne DuMaurier
3. French Milk by Lucy Knisley (all 3 are "reloot" for me)

4. Kitty Goes to War by Carrie Vaughn
5. The Poison Throne by Celine Kiernan
6. Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler

7. The Unnamed by Joshua Ferris
8. The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell
9. From Doon With Death by Ruth Rendell

10. Red Hot Fury by Kasey Mackenzie

No matter how hard I try I can't seem to stop putting books on hold at the library...especially after I have been reading through the posts in my Google reader. I know there could be worse addictions but seriously?!?! I'm acquiring books from the library at an alarming rate. Must read faster! I know I can't be the only one out there that bites off more than they can chew but does anyone else wanna share so I can feel like I'm in good company :)

  1. I do the same thing, keeping my library website up while I'm going through my Google Reader, placing hold after hold. But that's why libraries are wonderful! If you don't end up reading the book, what have you wasted? (aside from a little energy lugging them to and fro).

The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox is one of my absolute favourites - I hope you enjoy it!

  2. I hope that you like Monique and the Mango Rains. I read it a couple of years ago when I first started blogging and it is a great story!

  3. I've heard good things about Red Hot Fury!

    Great finds! Hope you enjoy!

I also have a mountain of a TBR pile but I just keep on reserving away at the library! :)

  4. I loved Jamaica Inn and Monique and the Mango Rains! :D

I totally put books on hold because of bloggers all the time too. Ignoring that I already have 30 out!

  5. I keep a list on Google Docs to put books that other bloggers recommend. That way I remember to read them and not overload my library queue. Because I used to get more books than I could read and need to reloot them. It's so sad how many wonderful books are out there and how little time I have to read them.
French Milk has long been on my tbr list. I will read it one day!
I love the cover to Tempest Rising!
    Enjoy your loot!

  7. Sounds like we're all guilty of the same thing - doesn't matter how often I say enough I keep on placing those holds.

You have some great titles there.
    Enjoy your reading!

  10. Claire- Congrats on hosting library loot with Marg! And I agree that it never hurts anything to have a few too many books checked out from the library. I'm really looking forward to The Vanishing Act...so thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!

Nicole- I'm glad to hear that you liked it so much. It sounds so interesting and I can't wait to read it.

Mollie- I love the cover of Red Hot Fury which is why I picked it up in the 1st place. Glad I'm in good company :)

Eva- I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who puts too many books on hold. Really glad :) And I can't wait to read Jamaica Inn as I enjoyed reading Rebecca by this author.

Linda- LOL! I keep a google TBR list too. I'm crazy, aren't I? And I love the cover to Tempest Rising as well!

Trish- It was Andi's interview of this author that made me want to read this one so badly. Email me if you want the link.

    Thanks Cat and Suko!!

Naida- You'll have to let me know if/when you read either of those books.

  11. I really want to read Red Hot Fury and I've been planning on re-reading all of the Kitty books so I'll get around to getting caught up with the series. Happy reading!
