Library Loot- May 20th

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Alessandra that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

I've been good...kind of. I've been working on my library pile trying to knock out a few and I've been successfull. I just finished Agatha Raisin and the Vicious Vet by M.C. Beaton which was a great cozy read. I recently knocked Carpe Demon off of my list and took it back to the library and I also finished Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I've returned a few books unread but I'm doing good. So course I figured that I needed to visit the library and check out a few more :) Here's what I got:

Death of a Garage Sale Newbie by Sharon Dunn- A new to me cozy series that I've been meaning to begin for awhile now.

Multiple Bles8ings by Jon & Kate Gosselin and Beth Carson- I love this show so I requested this and it finally came in. I hope it is good!

The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond- The premise of this book sounds SO interesting. Plus, I've been hearing a lot of hype for her newest book and wanted to give her a try.

Veronika Decides To Die by Paulo Coelho- This is going to be my first read for the 1% Well Read Challenge.

Fables: Animal Farm by Bill Willingham- Had to get this one to continue on with the series :)

That's it for me this week! Feel free to share any thoughts if you've read any of these :)

  1. I love Fables! It's such a great series. Happy reading.

  2. Sounds like a great list - I have given up on catching up for awhile, so I cut myself off from getting any new library books.
Also, I have been reading your blog for a bit, and I decided to nominate you for a Lemonade Award! You can get more info on my blog.

  3. Enjoy Animal Farm :D

I have to confess I'm not at all a Coelho fan, but of the four books of his I've read, that one was the one I disliked the least :P

  4. Death of a Garage Sale Newbie made me think of my SIL who loves to garage sale..who knew it could be so dangerous!!! I had to return Year of Fog..made me mad cuz I really want to read it!! You're doing very good!!!

  5. I loved the first Fables, but my life doesn't have Animal Farm! :/ I think I'm going to tell them to buy it.

  6. My cousin-in-law's wife picked up Multiple Bles8ings and loves it. Oh gotta love the Fables! When, oh when is that show supposed to come out?

  7. Vasilly- I really enjoyed the first one in this series and am looking forward to continuing on :)

Jessica- Thanks for the award! That is so nice of you!!!!!

Nymeth- Not a Coelho fan, huh? I'm interested to see if I will be or not.

Staci- Isn't that a cute title for the book? I've been hearing about Richmond's books nonstop lately which is why I picked this one up.

Eva- I had to request Animal Farm through interlibrary loan. I'm glad it finally came in.

Ladytink- What show? A show based on Fables...that would be interesting! I love Jon & Kate's show even though their has been some controversy lately.

Naida- You need to give them a try. I bet that you would really enjoy them!

  8. I am reading Veronica Decides to Die for the 1% Challenge as well. I am only a few chapters in and am enjoying it -- even though it is a sad subject matter.

  9. Jess- I will be very interested to hear what you think about it when you finish. I ended up taking this one back to the library but I do plan to get it again :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate each and every one of them :)
