There you have it folks...my July insanity. Especially considering that I have every single book from my last library loot post still checked out. Seriously. Might have over done it a bit. Maybe. Much thanks to Lesley from A Life In Books who wrote the review that made me pick up Picnic at Hanging Rock. It is deliciously creepy (but not too scary) and I'll be sharing my thoughts on it soon just because I don't think that I can wait to post about it until I'm finished. If I can put it down that is....
I love the insanity!! My library loot has dropped off because I have an insane amount of ARCs that I want to get read this summer. Enjoy your madness :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got some great reading there. I can't wait to hear what you think of Mystic River, which I've read, and Picnic at Hanging Rock, which I've always meant to. My public library has only the film for Hanging Rock so I'll have to look around for a copy. Enjoy your loot.
ReplyDeleteWill be looking forward to your thoughts about Picnic at Hanging Rock. I read it a while ago now and thought it was very goody, but yes, a bit creepy.
ReplyDeleteWow, you're going to be busy! I haven't heard of many of those. But I do want to read Mystic River. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I'm not the only one who gets a bit crazy with the library books. I also love that I've never heard or read any of these books! It's amazing how people's tastes and choices differ.
ReplyDeleteStaci- That is understandable. Good luck on getting through all of your ARCs!
ReplyDeleteSandra- I LOVED Shutter Island so I'm really looking forward to Mystic River. I'm really enjoying reading Picnic at Hanging Rock right now. The atmosphere of the story is great!
Marg- I'm so glad to hear your thoughts on it. Did you review it??? I'm really liking it so far.
Linda- I am definitely going to be busy!
Melissa- I can't help myself..they are free. And it is fun to see what everyone else picks up...
It's hard to keep from drooling over all those books! I recently bought a copy of Kitty Goes to War. I couldn't resist when I came across it in the store. Hopefully your copy will arrive at the library soon. In the meantime, enjoy all the other books you have on tap to read. :-)
ReplyDelete(The word verification is "decide". I thought that was quite fitting given how many books you have to decide between to read next!)
Literary Feline- LOL! That is quite fitting if I do say so myself :) And I eventually plan on buying myself a copy of Kitty Goes to War eventually but right now I'm on a book buying ban.
ReplyDeleteMystic River was such a great book and movie.
ReplyDeleteDiane- I'm SO glad to hear it and I'll take your word for it as you were the reason I read and loved Shutter Island by this author :)
ReplyDeleteWow, did you ever pick up a load of books there. I just picked up the Elizabeth George book to try out. Mystic River is fantastic. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDarlene- I can't wait to hear what you think about A Great Deliverance then...it sounds good, doesn't it?? And I'm super excited to read Mystic River!
ReplyDeleteHi, Samantha! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my review for Prisoner of Azkaban - I appreciate your thoughts and your support! I'm a new follower - I look forward to reading more of your reviews. Kudos for supporting libraries!
ReplyDeleteI need to get caught up on the Jaz Parks series but I really do love Jennifer Rardin!
ReplyDeleteRoof Beam Reader- Thanks for following me! And I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan so I really enjoyed your review :)
ReplyDeleteLadytink- I really liked the first Jaz Parks book so I'm looking forward to reading this second book.
Great loot! I will be visiting the library myself this week to get my children their summer reading books. Who knows what other books I come home with lol

Naida- LOL! I always end up picking up at least one book from the library even if I am only there to get books for the kiddos :)
