It's Monday! What Are You Reading?? (Feb 18th)
"Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!"
I'm chugging through my nightstand reads this month which is unheard of for me. Usually, I go off pile and read other random books that I wasn't even planning on reading. But such is the moody reader which I most definitely am!
I have managed to finish up three books in the past week and a half which always pleases me. According to Goodreads, I'm actually on track to reach my goal of 75 books this year which is kind of crazy. I figured I would be behind by now but there you have it. Let's see if I can keep it up!
Last week I finished up the following books:
A Wicked Snow by Gregg Olsen- A thriller that left me with mixed feelings at the end. I liked the book...I really did...but there was definitely a few problems that I had with it. I need to write up my thoughts on that one but it kind of makes me nervous just thinking about it. How to explain??? I'll have to find the words...
The Long Way Home by Mariah Stewart- This book was even more than I hoped it would be. I'm super excited to start at the beginning of this series and go back to experience more. Very reminiscent of some of my favorite Nora Robert's books just because the romance was so sweet and lovely. My thoughts on this one will be posted on Thursday for a TLC book tour.
Nightfall by Ellen Connor- LOVED this one! I just loved it! I had a few issues with the main couple's lack of communication in the beginning but overall I ate this one up. I stayed up way too late to finish it but I just couldn't NOT see how it was all going to end. I can't wait to tell you all about this one so hopefully soon!
I'm currently reading:
My coworker gave me this book to read which meant that it just had to be next. And you guys, I'm already hooked which is a good thing. But the missing daughter is killing me (and no that really isn't a spoiler since it is on the back cover) and I just NEED to know that everything turns out okay. It must or I'm pretty sure that I will just hate the book forever.
On the reader I'm reading:
The India Fan by Victoria Holt has started slowly for me but I'm getting into it the further I read. It is the perfect read when I need to get away from the tenseness that is No Second Chance. And I'm planning on starting Gone Girl this week since it was chosen for me as my February TBR read. I don't want to wait because February will be over before I know it.
Lots of good books and reading which will be keeping me busy. As will the snow if we get what they are predicting (I'm a bit doubtful). What are you reading on this Manic Monday???
What a nice assortment of books! Nightfall looks like a genre I read though the Mariah Stewart sounds good too. Check out my Monday Report to see what I read. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read Gone Girl yet and really need to get a copy of it. I'm also intrigued by The India Fan...I'll be looking forward to reading your thoughts on it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

You have a great assortment of books. I hope you end up loving Gone Girl, it's a crazy good read!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week :)
Harlan's book looks and sounds fantastic..can't wait to read your thoughts on this one (hope it turns out okay for the missing girl!!!) and I'm with you on loving The Long Way Home!!! I wouldn't have changed a thing with that one. And what a yummy cover for Nightfall. I'm sure you won't have to twist my arm much to get me to want to read that one!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteA Manic Monday indeed. I really want to try a GreggO and HarlanC, I thought of those authors last year, we will see.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan of Gone Girl, look forward to your thoughts.
Happy Monday Sam. Nightfall and The Long Way Home sound good. I have to read Gone Girl soon too. I'm finishing up a book called Secret today. I needed something light to breeze through.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have lots of good reading coming up. I love Coben's books but I can't remember if I've read this one or not. I have read quite a few of his. This week I'm reading Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys and listening to The River Witch by Kimberly Brock. Both are goo and the narrator for River Witch is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWhole lotta readin' goin' on! I hope you don't end up hating No Second Chance.
ReplyDeleteI've got Gone Girl on my TBR list, too. I'm dying to be 'in the know' about this book. Yeah.. that means I'm pretty much reading it out of peer pressure. ha!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have some great winter reads to cozy up with. I love when books fit the season. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteRead Gone Girl first! I think you'll find it a quick read. I've never read Harlan Coben but my parents like his stuff. Emjoy!
